Australian Passports
All Australian citizens who wish to exit or enter Australia are required to travel on an Australian passport or travel document. You should contact the nearest Australian consular representative and request the appropriate application forms and instructions, or you may download the appropriate forms (PC7) and (PC8) for use overseas from the website www.passports.gov.au/web/index.aspx
Please note that the application forms (PC7) and (PC8) are used in all countries overseas, however, each country holds additional local instructions particular to their area. Therefore, to avoid unnecessary delays in processing your application, you are advised to contact the Geneva office and request a copy of the additional local passport information sheet for Switzerland, to ensure that you provide all the relevant documents that we require for passport processing.
Most routine passport applications may be forwarded by mail with the exception of the first passport for a child and the first passport for an adult of 18 years of age or over. Passport fees are payable in Swiss Francs upon lodgement of the application. Please call the office to obtain the latest rate.
