Australia welcomes the delegation from Luxembourg and appreciates its engagement in the Universal Periodic Review process.
Australia commends Luxembourg for its commitment to promoting and protecting human rights. We look forward to working together on the UN Security Council on human rights issues, especially in its role as Chair of the Working Group on Children and Armed Conflict.
Australia acknowledges Luxembourg is a destination country for victims of human trafficking, particularly women and children, and we commend Luxembourg’s efforts to date to combat this serious crime. We recommend Luxembourg strengthen its preventative anti-trafficking measures and continue to provide support services to victims, particularly for women and children.
